Fashion Friday: Claire Pettibone Spring/Summer 2014 Collection Preview

Claire Pettibone's collections are always a beautiful collection of vintage inspired gowns, and her SS 2014 Decoupage collection is no exception.

Decoupage (from the French word for cut) is the old art of assembling and layering paper cutouts for decorating wooden boxes, chests, ceramics, and decorative objects.

In this collection, the gowns include layer chantilly and guipure, silk and vintage laces, flowers and delicate hand beaded details…combining textures and treatments for an heirloom collection of wedding gowns.

Antoinette: Ivory Leaver's lace with striped cameo motif and floral silk ribbon lace-up back lined in platinum silk.

Delaney: Ivory linen with vintage lace insets, guipure lace neckline and sheer tulle long sleeves.

Estelle: Linen long sleeved bodice with platinum silk charmeuse skirt and Leaver's lace waist and back.

Wedding Wednesday: Lydia and Cote Perkins

Cote brought Lydia back to the spot where they met on the Mission Bay boardwalk and got down on one knee to ask her to be his wife. They then began planning a very intimate and personal celebration that took place at her parent’s home. Each detail turned out exactly the way they had hoped, from the draped tent and chandeliers to the delicious “selection” of cakes. The reception overlooked the San Pasqual Valley, which was the perfect location for all of their family and friends to dance the night away.
