Mangia Monday: Macarons

 Nothing tastes quite as chic as a macaroon.  Now we know that "chic" isn't generally a word to describe food, but what else can we say about eating macaroons?  One bite and you are transported to dreamy Paris, sitting on a blanket by the Seine, dressed impeccably, and one by one, enjoying every last piece of a delicate macaroon. It is a girly dessert that certainly brings me to France every time I have one, and these lightweight, trés délicieux desserts are excellent for entertaining - especially at wedding-related events.  Below, some yummy-looking macaroons courtesy Continental Catering, followed by a few recipes that will make your mouth water just reading!
