Personalized Touches: Monogrammed Table Runners

Details with a personalized touch make a wedding more your own. Creating a monogram for your wedding is a design element unique to you and your partner. Incorporating the monogram onto table runners creates personalized wedding décor that guests will remember long after the wedding reception.

There are a few ways to create monogrammed table runners. First, you can order table runners from web sites, such as Etsy, with your monogram sewn or printed onto the fabric.

Second, you can print your monogram onto fabric using printable fabric (found at fabric and craft stores) and then cut out the design and sew it onto your table runner.

Third, you can create a template by printing your monogram onto card stock and cutting out the design and then use fabric paint to paint the monogram onto your table runner. If your monogram design is detailed and intricate, a Silhoutte electronic cutting machine can help http://www.silhouetteamerica.com/

Or, if you want your monogram design to cover the entire table runner as a custom print, you can create custom fabric at Spoonflower.http://spoonflower.com

Wedding Wednesday: Monica & David

May 26, 2013 |  The University Club Atop Symphony Towers
Their Story: Monica and David's wedding was a perfect mixture of esthetic modern lines and a ruffled romantic style.  Blush and peach florals, textured linens and glass details artistically tied this wedding together.  Organza wrapped invitations by Vera Wang complimented the layers in Monica's dress and each table number was decorated with something significant to the couple. Monica and David danced the night away at The University Club Atop Symphony Towers with the city lights shining beneath them.

Table Design Tuesday: Parisian Love

This elegant tablescape was inspired by Paris, France. The design team chose delicate touches of lace and sparkles, and incorporated them into the beach front setting.  The vintage rentals hinted the stylish elegance of France. The floral and candles shimmered in the background of a breathtaking San Diego sunset. The table was completed with menus welcoming an evening of enjoyment.

Fashion Friday: Collars

This regal look was a hit on the runway during Bridal Week and we love the sophisticated style.  The high collar look is an unsuspecting trend that adds a little bit of royalty to every gown.  For the majestic and aristocratic styled bride, this trend might be just what you're looking for to make your statement.

Personalized Touches: Cake Table

Details with a personalized touch make a wedding more your own. Cake tables are one of the easiest places to show your personality. You can use colors, linens and props that you wouldn't normally use on the guest tables. One way to make the cake table really reflect your style is to use your own table. There is no rule that says cake tables have to be round with a matching linen. You can use a vintage desk, your grandmother's vanity table, a glass end table, a travel trunk, a barrel, a bookshelf, a beverage cart - anything goes. We used a glass and metal vanity table in one of our styled shoots for our macaroon "cake" and a vintage end table and suitcase for a travel themed wedding. When it comes to your cake table, let your imagination be your guide and have fun!

Wedding Wednesday: Kristen & Ken

June 7, 2014 |  Humphrey's Half Moon Inn
Their Story: With most of their guests coming from the east coast, Kristen and Ken wanted to give them a real San Diego style wedding.  The ceremony took place in the Humphrey's Half Moon Inn garden surrounded by palm trees.  A short and sweet ceremony lead to an entertaining and sentimental reception overlooking the marina.  The night was filled with pink roses, great music and incredible food including mini cheesecakes as a surprise to the groom.
