Inspiration Thursday: Revisiting Wonderland

The idea of being curious and adventurous is something we all encounter. We are all very curious humans and some, maybe even most choose to take the adventure. Like Alice, she is very courageous and took the adventure into a Whimsical Wonderland. Of course Alice runs into some trouble on her adventure but finds wonderful and mystical things along the way. The bold colors we chose for the shoot was inspired by Alice’s vivacious personality. Life is full of unexpected turns however if we chose to keep moving forward and take some risk, then we will be able to experience all the beauty this universe has to offer. One of the greatest beauties is love! This larger than life stylized shoot was incredibly detailed with pieces that reflect the storybooks from our childhood. This shoot is inspiration for two "love birds" who have falling in mad love for each other. They cherish the silly and brave moments in their lives and want to share it with their friends in family. This shoot captured the love for adventure and fantasy of dreams and (versus) reality. The details chosen were crucial to getting the story across. Just the cake alone has so much detail to express such a beautiful love story. With the overwhelming display of vintage tea time items that covered the entire table to the “painted red” paper flowers cascading down the hedges, there is no way you don't feel like you are in wonderland. If you look close enough you will find small items such as keys, doorknobs, frames, candelabras, books, clocks, pocket watches, glassware with the letter A on it and mirrors all which are very relevant to movies and storybooks. Although, there are some very familiar pieces, there are a lot more unique qualities involved. This shoot was just simply unforgettable.
