Wedding Wednesday: Marissa & Kevin

7/13/2017  |  San Diego Courthouse
Marissa & Kevin met when they were just kids. Their moms worked together and were also close friends so Marissa & Kevin basically grew up together. They stayed in touch and spent more and more time together through high school and eventually their feelings mutually grew romantic. After they both graduated, they decided to go out to a movie and pretty much hit it off from there! Kevin recently decided to join the military and is actually leaving for boot camp very soon. Marissa & Kevin decided they didn't want Kevin to ship out without tying the knot. After 8 years of their relationship and a lifetime of friendship, Marissa & Kevin tied the knot at the San Diego Administration Building on July 13, 2017 in the presence of their family. Their best friend, Jose Gonzalez officiated their wedding and spoke to amazing bond these 2 beautiful people have. The bride made her bouquet and her grooms boutonniere herself out of paper flowers! It was a privilege to capture Marissa & Kevin's perfect day.

Wedding Wednesday: Melissa & Adam

6/25/2017  |  The Dana On Mission Bay
Melissa & Adam planned the perfect Hawaiian wedding under the palms in San Diego! Their smiles were as bright as their wedding colors. It was evident how many people love and supported Melissa & Adam by the pure joy on everyone's face. Every last detail of their San Diego bay front wedding was pure perfection! Melissa’s goal was to have their wedding be relaxed, fun and worry free. From the first look, to blowing bubbles as they were announced as husband & wife to the non-traditional father daughter dance to the Beach Boys and to the belly laughing toasts, the Currey wedding was one of a kind. It was an absolute honor and a pleasure to capture such a beautiful day between best friends and now life long partners.

Hot Wedding Tip: Use the power of connected vendors. Your venue will most likely provide a Preferred Vendor List and this list is super important because these vendors come highly recommended by your venue and work with them frequently. It's also really great to ask for referrals from other vendors. They often are in the know of "the next big idea" to add to your wedding day.  When vendors know each other and the venue, it will enhance the sense of community to your wedding day.

Book your wedding by December 31, 2017, Lorimar will offer a complimentary champagne greeting for your guests arrival.

Dessert of the Week: Trending Now

One of the coolest trends right now is Geode cakes! These cakes are an optical illusion where it looks like part of your cake is a geode but really, it's just the magic that cakeries can perform like this gem from Sweet Cheeks Baking Company! Because geodes come in many colors, you can even blend in your wedding colors too!

Inspiration Thursday: Sunset Serendipity

One of the most amazing feelings the beach brings is the calm and freedom you feel when listening to the waves. This beautiful stylized session at Sunset Cliffs in San Diego brings colors that are inspired by the beach, rocks and a masculine touch of grey.
