Wedding Wednesday: Tessa & Thomas

Although they first met while working together, it wasn't until later on a trip to the desert they felt a spark. Tessa went with Tommy and his family on vacation to Kauai. A picturesque lagoon and waterfall provided the perfect backdrop for Tommy to drop to one knee and ask for Tessa's hand in marriage. Vintana Wine and Dine provided a unique setting for their wedding and pulled out all the stops to make it perfect for them.

Candy Girl Candy Buffets in three words:
Fun, Fabulous, Affordable

How would you describe Candy Girl Candy Buffet experience?
Guests will delight in a stunning visual display. They will become excited with anticipation to enjoy all the wonderful sweet treats.

What is Candy Girl's specialty?
Personalization! We design every candy buffet to showcase the bride and groom, their unique personalities along with what vision they have for their wedding day. For example, this coming June we will be designing a sophisticated Comic Con themed candy station for the superhero groom and his groomsman.

What got you interested in candy buffets?
I have been designing corporate and hospitality gifts with gourmet foods, chocolates, and candy since 2001. Candy buffets started as a trend about 6 years ago. I fell in love with the candy and dessert buffets concept. I am happy they have become a permanent option for all of life's celebrations and not just a trend.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?
My sweet reward is the fact that we get to play a part in one of the most important days of a couple's life. On their 25th anniversary, they will not remember me but they will remember "candy" at their reception.

If you weren't creating candy buffets for weddings, what would you be doing?
I would work for a non-profit as event coordinator/ fundraiser.

What is one thing that sets Candy Girl Candy Buffets apart from your competitors?
Our experience! Our passion! Our impeccable service dedicated to detail and designing a candy buffet with a lasting impression.

How would you describe the W San Diego experience?
From the moment the doors open, guests are greeted by a scene pulsing with the promise of exciting possibilities. Inspiration ignites in the newly imagined Living Room where vibrant colors collide and heat up the lounge-like atmosphere, featuring stylish accents, all as a backdrop to a vividly-lit bar and elevated DJ stage. As the original rooftop lounge in San Diego, Rooftop at W San Diego features a gorgeous restyle with beautiful wood flooring, bountiful lush seating, private bottle-service cabanas, and a brilliantly concepted bonfire sculpture to bring heat and blaze to the Rooftop ambiance. Also included in the recent relaunch is Kelvin restaurant, serving up a Latin-influenced menu that plays with creativity and temperature range in an equally imaginative atmosphere.

What is one important piece of advice you would like to share with couples in choosing a wedding venue?
When you walk into a venue, imagine the whole experience of your wedding day. Focus on the feeling that you want to give your guests and the mood of the event, rather than just seeing what is on the surface. We can make any dream come true.
