Wedding Wednesday: Genevieve & Jim

The prestigious Hotel del Coronado was the ideal location for the marriage of Genevieve and Jim.  The yellow and white color scheme complimented the colors of the Del and enhanced the feeling of their spring wedding.  Jim surprised his bride by hiring a plane to fly over the ceremony carrying a banner reading "Congratulations Genevieve & Jim," and to kick off cocktail hour, Genevieve sabered a champagne bottle.  This sea side wedding was crisp and elegant as well as warm and welcoming.

Fashion Friday: Gorgeous Garters

The tradition of the wedding garter dates back to the 14th century!  Time has definitely changed this tradition from what it used to be, but it is still a comical and entertaining tradition that gives you a chance to add a little extra to your wedding day look.  Garters are completely customizable and are also a great place to put your "something blue."  Traditionally, a bride wears two garters on her right leg: one for the groom to throw away and one to keep.  Pick matching garters to compliment your gown or mix and match them.  Maybe one with lace and one to honor his favorite sports team?  The wedding garter tradition is always a fun one and is a ceremony that guests have a blast participating in, so get ready to show off some leg and let the festivities begin.

Inspiration Thursday: Delicate Details

Dress up your wedding cake as much as you will be on your big day.  Cakes can be decorated with anything.  You can have your chocolate layers sprouting with beautiful flower arrangements or even dripping in edible diamonds.  The choice is yours, just let your creativity shine and don't be afraid to think outside of the box.  Grove Pastry Shop & Custom Cakery (top) designed this lovely multi tiered fondant cake with a stunning fondant drape cascading down the front secured with matching brooches.  The cake is accented with dragee pearls at each layer and adorns a matching cake topper from NDetailDesigns on etsy.  The French Gourmet (bottom) designed this regal cake inspired by gold lace and garnished with delicate edible flowers.

Table Design Tuesday: California Coast

Our inspiration came from the natural California coast, using a lot of blues, silvers, white’s, and a splash of peacock tones.  We brought the beautiful aesthetics of the California Coast to our table by using the blues and whites to compliment the ocean and the peacock feathers to tie in the colorful sunsets. This is designed to provide your guests with a relaxing, and soothing evening!
