Dessert of the Week: Chocolate Decadance
Chocolate is one of the finest things in life!! And what better way to celebrate your wedding than with a chocolate cake! This two tiered cake has chocolate ganache on top of chocolate frosting enveloping a delicious layers of chocolate cake.

Wedding Wednesday: Tram & Ethan

Upon the rolling hills, their guests were witnesses to all the little nuances that made their wedding truly their own. Having both met in Optometry school, they wanted to emphasize their beginning throughout the day. Whether it be the eye-chart message on the Ceremony Programs, or their officiant making eye-related jokes and puns, it was definitely evidenced as unique parts of their celebration. Even the groom wore sun-glass cuff links and their glow-in-the-dark DIY aviators were a hit on the dance floor. And to top it off, their cake topper was optometry based with two small figures of them looking through each side of a pair of glasses. They also had several features that were implemented with their personal interests in mind. Things such as having their ring bearer cruise down the aisle in a small white, BMW power wheel in honor of Tram's favorite car. And the groomsmen's gifts of sports-themed argyle socks based on each groomsman's favorite sports team, in which they also had and proudly displayed their favorite teams. On top of all the smaller details, there was a surprise performance by Ethan for Tram in which he sang and performed a medley of songs to her reminiscent of things he did in the very beginning of their relationship. Everything from start to finish was done with the idea of making things a little different but also to genuinely reflect them, their relationship, and who they are - individually and as a couple.

El Niño brought in a forecast of rain for the week of their wedding but remarkably on the morning of their big day the sky cleared up and they were welcomes with a beautiful sunny San Diego day. They had 90 family and friends fly in from all over the country to take part in their special day. They walked down the aisle as husband and wife to U2's "Beautiful Day" into a military sword arch that left tears in their eyes. From the ceremony they had cocktail hour into sunset, leading perfectly into the reception on the patio. the reception was filled with good food, dancing, laughter, and amazing skyline views. It was truly a magical day to be remembered by everyone!
