Wedding planners and designers are always looking for the next inspiration to strike when stylizing an event. For this Shades of Metal style shoot, one look at this stunning vineyard in Temecula Wine Country surrounded by a lake of fire and water was all it took. The rare elements of earth combined with the contemporary look of metal, copper and slate allowed the designers to weave modern industrial segments with mid-century vintage pieces.
Adding a retro whiskey and cigar bar, and using metal colors is an
impressive way to provide a getaway for guests to converse or for couples to
sneak in a romantic moment behind the metal fan. Vintage décor from the
1920’s to the 1980’s created a mid-century feel taking one back to a
time when the style was sexy and provocative. The 1960’s sofa and
mirrored tables, 1970’s hanging swag lamp and antique wood dresser
layered with crystal glassware formatted an eclectic look.
The cake was fashioned into a striking three-tiered copper foil confection that incorporated the look of sharpness in keeping with the theme of the event. Staged at the stainless steel tanks of the winery, the bride and groom shared an unforgettable cake smash keeping in with tradition.
The texture of the table was set to reflect a sultry feel and mood of the day, leading into night.
This edgy composition of style can easily translate to any wedding or season, and it was exactly what this wedding planner was searching for.
