Rachel and Alexander wanted to celebrate their relationship and put little pieces of themselves into the ceremony. One of the kiddish cups they used was from Rachel's bat-mitzvah. The tallit was from Alex's bar-mitzvah. The tie-dye roses are the only flowers Alex has ever given Rachel. They did vodka shots because Alex is Russian and their cake topper was a panda since that's what they call each other, just to name a few details. Unfortunately Rachel's grandmother passed away a week before the wedding, so they made sure to save her the best seat in the house for the ceremony and reception and marked the chair with flowers. After everything the couple just really wanted to celebrate and party late into the night. The party lasted until 1am with techno music blasting, smoking their favorite cigars and smores by the fire.
