We all know that during wedding festivities, there are an assortment of toasts and speeches to be made. But who all is supposed to give them and when?
During the rehearsal dinner, normally the parents of the bride will give a toast, then the parents of the groom. Normally, these include welcoming the new member to their family. Then the bride and groom will give a toast and thank everyone for coming to celebrate their love. These speeches can be more laid back as their isn't as strict of a timeline for the rehearsal dinner.
At the wedding reception, it is tradition for the Best Man and Maid of Honor to give toasts. These are typically a little more formal but last no more than five minutes. This is their chance to congratulate the happy couple and share a cute anecdote.
So start writing and get ready to raise your drink! Cheers!
