Company Background
Since 1984, Continental Catering has said adios to uninspired events and hola to grandoise affairs. Fully licensed and insured, we could be to your event what peanut butter is to jelly: undoubtedly a union of epic proportions.

Continental Catering described in three words: 2 cups delicious, 2/3 cup decadent, 1/4 cup delightful

What type of cuisine does Continental Catering cater?
We are culinary globetrotters. You pick a spot on the map and we'll take care of the rest.

What got you interested in the catering industry and what is the most rewarding part of your job?
Denise, our caterer-in-chief, began cooking out of her kitchen with her mom for friends and family, and within a few months Continental Catering was born. As cliched as it sounds, after nearly 30 years it is still rewarding to see our clients happy and satisfied at the end of the night.

If you weren't working with food and catering, what would you be doing?
If we hadn't become caterers, there is a pretty good chance we would have become professional champagne tasters, oh wait, we're already doing that. Honestly, we can't imagine doing anything else. Whether we became food writers or certified festooners, we would undoubtedly still be in the private event industry.

What's special about catering for weddings? What is your favorite part about catering for weddings?
Catering for weddings is such a unique experience. This is one of the most important days of a couple's new life together, and we get to be a part of it. That's pretty exciting and humbling. With that in mind, we love the process of planning all details and ultimately, watching guests have a great time on the dance floor.

How would you describe the Continental Catering experience?
At Continental Catering, we strive to make the catering experience a joyful one. We have to remember that we are planning a party and should always be having fun, from plan to execution.

Name one thing that sets Continental Catering apart from its competitors.
There is certainly no shortage of excellent caterers in San Diego, but we each have our own strengths. At the risk of sounding biased (we should be, right?), we believe that we truly offer great taste and quality at a reasonable price. Furthermore, we are one of the few caterers that focus on more than just the meal itself, but the presentation as well. We have the capability of erecting grandiose displays or building minimalistic havens.
