Company Background
San Diego Events Company was launched in 2012 by Doris Dunkel, a San Diego native with a background in brand management and large scale event production. Each event produced by San Diego Events Company is handled with professionalism and creative detail.

San Diego Events Company described in three words:
Events With Charisma.

Why wedding and event planning? What about your career makes it worthwhile each day?
Event planning is much more than being organized, detailed and creative. I like to think of myself as a facilitator of creating treasured memories for each and every client. Every day and every client is unique. I enjoy the challenge of accommodating client requests and taking my creativity to the next level in order to exceed expectations.

What’s your favorite part and/ or moment of the wedding, and why?
My favorite part of a wedding is, without a doubt, the special toasts. This is the moment that your treasured guests are witness to the love that brought two families together. From the comical anecdotes by the Best Man to the emotionally driven declarations by the Maid of Honor, this is a showcase of unity.

How would you describe the San Diego Events Company experience?
The San Diego Events Company experience is fun, creative and easy. Aiming to please and accommodate each and every client is the ultimate goal. San Diego Events Company values open and easy communication with an emphasis on “deleting the wonder” during the planning process.

Name one thing that sets San Diego Events Company apart from its competitors:
San Diego Events Company is known for thinking out side of the box, taking a simple concept and creating an extraordinary experience with memories that last a lifetime.

What is one important piece of advice you would like to share with brides?
Regardless of the size and scale of your wedding, having a day of coordinator is essential.  Your big day should be exciting and filled with anticipation. Leaving the logistics to a professional planner will ensure a smooth and memorable event.

If you weren’t in the wedding & event industry, what would you be doing?
If I were not in the wedding & event industry, I would utilize my graduate degree in early education and teach elementary school. I enjoy facilitating learning through visual and creative avenues. Children are fearless innovators.
