Our wedding was a very elegant with a lot of DIY elements to help us offset the costs and to remain within our budget. As a bride, I've always had a vision of how my wedding day was going to be but after going to fairs, bazaars and thoughtful research, realized that my dream wedding was just not achievable with our budget. So my fiance and I took it upon ourselves to make our dream wedding a reality. We drove to the LA Flower District and purchased our own Manzanita trees and we made our own flower boxes for the centerpieces; we decorated the glass vases for the other centerpieces ourselves; we made our own table numbers and menus; we worked with our florist to achieve the look we wanted with more cost effective florals; we found excellent pricing for our linens and chiavari chair rentals; our reception was on the water but at great price because it was held on a military base. We used a Groupon for our photobooth and promocodes for all our wedding stationary. We truly had our dream wedding without busting our budget.
