Personalized Touches: Napkin Rings
Details with a personalized touch make a wedding more your own. One way to enhance your day is by adding color and sparkle to your napkin rings. This is an easy and inexpensive project that can be created
around a coffee table with friends and a bottle of wine!
7/8” ribbon – we used white grosgrain ( Michael's, Shinoda or fabric stores)
¾” wedding buckles – we used rhinestone circles (Online is your best source for larger quantities)
Sticky back Velcro ¾” - (Craft or office supply stores)

Step 1:
Cut the ribbon into strips. You will need 5”-7” of ribbon
for each napkin ring depending on how tightly you want the ring to hold the
napkin. The shorter the ribbon length, the tighter the hold on the napkin. The
finish is nicer and fraying is minimized if you use pinking shears (scissors
with a sawtooth blade-) for the cutting.
Step 2:
Slide the wedding buckle onto the ribbon.
Wedding buckles are great accessories to add sparkle to any
wedding item. They can be used on invitations, favors, chair sashes – anywhere
you want to add a sparkle detail. For this project, we used round rhinestone
buckles. Buckles come in all shapes and colors from hearts to snowflakes, so
let creativity be your guide.
Step 3:
Cut a small piece of Velcro. Remove the backing from both
sides of the Velcro. Place the soft side of the Velcro on the left edge of the
ribbon while the ribbon is facing up.
Step 4:
Turn the ribbon over and place the rough side of the Velcro
on the right edge of the ribbon. You should now be able to attach the Velcro
pieces together and form a circle. Your napkin ring is now complete.

Table Design Tuesday: Vintage Glam
These table designers loved the juxtaposition of textures and styles and love how this table layers rustic wood on top of a glamourous linen, vintage china and glassware, along with bold flowers. Purple and butterflies are popping up everywhere in fashion as well as weddings these days, so the team chose to incorporate both in to their design. The table has various textures and tones of purple, with some vibrant magenta added and contrasted with soft ivory and wood. This truly shows that all things not matchy-matchy makes for an interesting and gorgeous looking table.
