Spousal Saturday: Goldie & Aksel

5/15/2016  |  Temecula Creek Inn

When Goldie and Michelle Garibay first started discussing her vision, her favorite store, Anthropologie, was the first word she used to describe her style. Eclectic, romantic, bright, bold colors and a touch of Moroccan flair were all represented in this wedding design. As a designer for Bassett, the overall design and decor was THE most important thing to Goldie, and she and Michelle spent the majority of their time meticulously selecting the perfect fit creatives for their big day, along with her father who was very involved in the planning process.

They wanted their wedding to be a true representation of who they were as a couple: well-traveled, approachable elegance and a large focus on food and beverage.  They both had meticulous attention to detail in regards to their guest experience from the Keffiyehs (Middle Eastern head scarf) and flower market as gifts for the ladies and cigar bar for the men to the custom Guava-Collins signature cocktail as a nod to their favorite restaurant in Cabo San Lucas. This wedding definitely required Michelle to flex her creative muscles and she was thrilled with how everything came together all down to the matching embossing on the cake and invitation suite. And because the decor was so important, Michelle even arranged for Goldie and her father to have a sneak peek of everything before guest arrival!
