In the years I've been involved with photography, I've learned to appreciate all the small things that make up the beautiful world we live in. Through my lens I capture special moments with true emotion and translate them into art. I love to show real life. These are the moments we will treasure forever.
The best part of my job is that I get to interact and be a part of the fun. Getting to know my clients, capturing real interactions, and telling their story, is what inspires me. Each shoot is unique and a new chance for me to share with others my passion for modern, candid style photography.
I have the honor of shooting weddings, portraits, and meaningful events in the Greater San Diego area and have also traveled to shoot in Rome, Mexico, Colombia, Germany, Mississippi, Michigan, Illinois, and Iowa.

Why are you in your line of work? What about your career makes it worthwhile each day?
I love getting to know all my clients and telling the story of their lives in beautiful artwork in a way that is unique to each of them.
What is your favorite part and/ or moments of the wedding and why?
My favorite part is the vows. I love the energy of all the people who love you the most and the look on the bride and groom's faces as they proclaim in front of their friends and family their love and devotion to each other.
How would you describe the Christina O'Brien Photography experience?
When I am shooting, whether it is engagement portraits or on the wedding day, everything is fun. I want everyone to be comfortable in front of the camera and be able themselves. Those real interactions between a bride and groom are the images that they will cherish forever.
Name one thing that sets Christina O'Brien Photography apart from its competitors:
Everything with my name on it has my hands on it. With our company it is a personal experience. I will work with you from start to finish to make sure everything is perfect for your day.
What is one important piece of advice you would like to share with brides?
When choosing a photographer, make sure it is someone that you connect with. This person will be with you on your wedding day more than anyone else. Make sure you choose someone that you feel comfortable around and can be yourself in front of.
If you weren't in the wedding and event industry, what would you be doing?
I would be a travel photojournalist. I love to travel and experience different cultures. When I photograph abroad, it's the people that draw me to a place and that is what I bring home with me.
